Train for a career as a Pharmacy Tech in just 8 months!

Pharmacy Technician Training Program

Pharmacy technicians work under the supervision of licensed Pharmacists. The pharmacy tech is responsible for a wide range of tasks including processing prescription orders, receiving and verifying prescription information, updating patient profile information, filing prescriptions orders, stocking medications, and maintaining the pharmacy department.

Pharmacy techs find their career to be both rewarding and fulfilling for many reasons. They play an important role by providing essential medications and addressing any patient concerns regarding medicine. Pharmacy technicians who are interested in advancing in the field are able to learn from professionals, build a solid knowledge base of pharmaceuticals, and master common software programs.

The Pharmacy Technician program at Milwaukee Career College is designed to prepare students for careers in the pharmacy field. The program focuses on giving students the clinical, technical, customer service, and administrative skills they need to succeed. Pharmacy techs can be found in a couple of different settings including hospitals, and community or retail pharmacies.
