Milwaukee Career College Graduation: Congratulations Class of 2025!
On June 26th, 2025, our MCC community came together to honor the incredible achievements of the Class of 2025. With excited graduates, dedicated instructors, and supportive families in attendance, this year’s graduation was a powerful celebration of perseverance, growth, and transformation.
Whether students trained for a career as a Medical Assistant, Dental Assistant, Veterinary Assistant, or Veterinary Technician, every graduate crossed the stage with their dream within reach. Every name called marked not only the completion of a program, but the beginning of a brand-new chapter.
In this blog, we’re sharing our highlights from this unforgettable day. Including photos, video, quotes, and moments that made this graduation so special. You’ll also find the full list of our graduates by program. If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to accomplish something truly life-changing, this is it. Congratulations to every student of the Class of 2025.
Graduation Ceremony
After friends and family were seated, the graduates entered and took their places in the first three rows of the auditorium. Several members of the Milwaukee Career College team were seated on stage: Jennifer Potter, Student Success Advisor; Jack Takahashi, President; Dr. Joshua Stewart, Attending Veterinarian; Sharon Sturdevant, Dental Assistant Program Chair; Wanda Hoover, Medical Assistant Program Chair; and Rachel Stoffer, Veterinary Program Chair.
Jennifer Potter opened the ceremony by welcoming our graduates and their families. Everyone rose to honor the national anthem, and then President Jack Takahashi took the podium. He acknowledged the challenges of returning to school, sharing that he had personally done the same when he was 26 years old. He recognized that many of our graduates balanced full-time jobs and family responsibilities while dedicating themselves to their academic goals.
“There is no limit to your abilities. You have so much potential and you just proved that. If you can visualize it, you can achieve it. If you can dream it, you can become it. Congratulations class of 2025!”
Jack Tackahashi, President
A Message To The Graduating Class
Next, Kevin Falk took the stage to speak on behalf of the graduating class. His journey stood out as a testament to the power of second chances and following your passion. After earning a bachelor’s degree in Zoology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Kevin spent eight years working in quality assurance. While his role offered stability, it lacked fulfillment. Determined to make a change, he discovered Milwaukee Career College and took a leap of faith to pursue a career as a Veterinary Technician—reigniting a passion for animals that had been with him since childhood and originally led him to study zoology. Through extensive study and hard work, Kevin not only completed his training at MCC, but also passed the Veterinary Technician National Exam on his first attempt, officially becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician.
“If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that it’s okay to start over. It’s okay to change your mind and go after something that feels right. Even if it takes time, if you’ve got a dream, don’t let it fade. Keep going, even when it’s scary or uncertain, because it’s worth it.
To everyone graduating today, whatever your path looks like, however long it took, you made it! I hope you’re proud of yourself. I know I’m proud to be standing here with all of you today.”
Kevin Falk, Certified Veterinary Technician

After his speech, Jennifer took the podium for the big event: the presentation of the diplomas. This was the moment our students had worked so hard for, a true testament to their dedication and perseverance. Vet Tech Take Their Professional Oath
When a Veterinary Technician earns their credentials, they also take an oath. This powerful tradition symbolizes their commitment to animals, professional conduct, and the core values they share with veterinarians. Each of our 12 graduates was individually pinned by Program Chair Rachel Stoffer, receiving their official pins as a sign of achievement and readiness. Once pinned, the graduates stood together with their hands raised, repeating their professional oath led by Dr. Joshua Stewart, DVM.
“I solemnly dedicate myself to aiding animals and society by providing excellent care and services for animals, by alleviating animal suffering, and by promoting public health. I accept my obligations to practice my profession conscientiously and with sensitivity, adhering to the profession’s Code of Ethics, and furthering my knowledge and competence through a commitment to lifelong learning.”

What is Next For Our Graduates?
Our graduates are already taking the next steps in their careers. Some have been hired directly by the sites where they completed their externships, while others secured positions through the support of our Career Services team and trusted employment partners.
Many of our Veterinary Assistant graduates are continuing their education here at MCC, working toward their Veterinary Technician diploma. Dental graduate Asnina completed her externship three months before graduation and is already working in the dental field. Veterinary Technician graduate RJ is starting his career and exploring a specialization in exotic animal care.
Across programs, students had such positive externship experiences that many doctors, dentists, and veterinarians chose to bring them on as permanent team members. The future is bright for these graduates as they begin their professional journeys, and we can’t wait to see where they go next.
A New Chapter Begins
As the celebration ends, one thing is clear: this is just the beginning for our graduates. Whether they’re heading straight into the workforce, continuing their education, or planning for new goals, they leave Milwaukee Career College equipped with skills, confidence, and purpose.
We’re incredibly proud of every student who crossed the stage this June. Your dedication, grit, and heart have brought you this far, and we know it will take you even further. On behalf of all of us at Milwaukee Career College, congratulations, Class of 2025!
