#1 Vet Techs are in demand. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), demand for veterinary technicians will expand at a rate of more than 20 percent over the next ten years. This is three times the average for all professions surveyed. This means that over the next decade, vet techs shouldn’t have a hard time finding a job.
#2 Becoming a vet tech takes less time than you think. Veterinary technicians can complete their education in less than two years. They help by treating injuries, catching problems early by running routine lab tests, performing dental cleanings, and other routine tasks. It can be very rewarding to work with and heal animals.
