If you’re considering going back to school to start a new career, it’s completely normal to have questions. Our admissions representatives speak with future students every day and understand how important this decision can be. Whether you’re considering our Dental Assistant, Medical Assistant, Veterinary Assistant, or Veterinary Technician program, we’re here to guide you. We’ve compiled answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about enrolling at Milwaukee Career College.

How long are the programs at Milwaukee Career College?

Our career training programs are accelerated and designed to get you job-ready in under two years.

  • Dental Assistant (Day): 30 weeks

  • Evening Classes (MA, VA): Monday–Thursday, 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM

What types of classes will I take?

Every student begins with general education courses. These cover foundational topics like:

  • Anatomy & Physiology
  • Medical Terminology

  • Study Skills
  • Computer Basics
  • Math Fundamentals

If you’re pursuing the Veterinary Technician program, you’ll also need to complete additional core classes like:

  • Foundations of Biology & Chemistry
  • Math Applications
  • Introduction to Veterinary Technology

After the prep courses, you’ll move into program-specific training with both classroom learning and hands-on laboratory practice. The final step is an externship where you gain real-world experience in a local healthcare or veterinary setting.

Is Milwaukee Career College’s curriculum challenging?

Our programs are fast-paced and career-focused, which means you’ll be learning a lot in a short time. But you won’t be doing it alone. Can I switch between day and evening classes?

Unfortunately, no. You’ll need to choose either day or evening classes at the time of enrollment.

How much does it cost?

Prices vary depending on the program and the amount of financial aid you qualify for. It is best to discuss your options with an admissions representative.
