Dental Program Q&A
How long is Dental Assistant training?
Our Dental Assistant classes are Monday-Friday from 8am-12pm for 24 weeks of theory and laboratory practice, followed by 6 weeks of clinical externship. Our program is designed to fit your busy schedule. Classes are conveniently scheduled at a predictable time for just 4 hours per day, allowing our students to continue working while attending school.
Is the Dental Assistant program online?
Our Dental Assistant program is hybrid. Students will complete their general education requirements online during the first six weeks of the program, and the remainder of the course will be completed in person, 4 hours a day, at our Milwaukee campus.
Do I need prior experience to go to Dental Assistant school?
No! MCC’s dental program is designed for beginners, and you can enroll as long as you have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Can I get financial aid?

Dental assistants work in a variety of settings, including general dental offices, orthodontic clinics, pediatric practices, oral surgery centers, and specialty dental clinics.
